Skills for Work (SfW) courses are practical work-related courses. Usually, you take them in a local college of further education. The college and your school work in partnership to give you more learning opportunities.
Employers and training providers may also be involved in the courses.
You can take SfW courses from S3 onwards. They give you the chance to develop some of the practical skills that are relevant to different types of work, and to improve your employability skills. This will help you to make the move from school into college, training or employment.
